Welcome to Queens College Cooperating Teacher Training Verification!
As our candidates prepare to embark on the student teaching phase of their educational journey, we want to express our profound gratitude for the exceptional expertise and dedication you bring as school-based teacher educators.
In April 2019, the Board of Regents Higher Education Committee introduced an amendment mandating that school-based educators (cooperating teachers) and university-based teacher educators (supervisors) engage in professional learning in collaboration with P-12 and higher education faculty to enhance the quality of clinical supervision.
The Queens College Cooperating Teacher Training Verification are for cooperating teachers who have completed clinical supervision training offered by another institute of higher education or by the New York City Public schools. This Training Verification allows cooperating teachers to submit their proof of completion of the training. It also provides cooperating teachers with an overview of the student teaching policies and procedures at Queens College as well as a content-specific structured progression to guide their work with their student teachers effectively.
